Anna Fokina | Photographer

Anna Fokina is a young creative photographer based in Russia. As a child, she tried her hands on numerous academic and extra-curricular activities ranging from actively participating in biology class and solving complex mathematical equations, to acting on stage. This versatility assisted her later on when she found an irresistible passion for photography and boundless creativity.

As a true artist, Anna doesn’t conform to the limitations of conventional photography, as she told us charismatically, “l do what I like.” However, she does have inspirations from which she draws her boundless creativity, “I am constantly looking for inspiration in everything - in natural textures, in paintings, in personalities interesting to me. The main thing in photography is not to be inspired directly by only photography. Otherwise, there is a risk of cliché thinking or plagiarism.” Anna mentioned her love for a tidy studio and workplace, where likes to drink coffee, cover her laptop with quirky stickers, and shoot everything that she finds fascinating.

After over two years on her photography journey, Anna still lives by her mantra, “Set high goals for yourself, dream, and don’t stop developing.” which has helped her achieve remarkable success. Aged at just twenty, Anna has worked on various projects with numerous celebrities and brands.
