Novaj | Makeup Artist

Novaj is a makeup artist who has always had a love for art,  constantly drawing and painting in their youth. All throughout primary school they would take as many art classes as they could, searching for a new feeling of fulfillment; but it wasn’t until high school that they would find their favorite art medium: makeup.  Novaj remembers hiding in their room and playing with Halloween makeup, in utter shock that art didn't just have to be something that existed on paper, but could also be brought to life through cosmetics. A lot of their influences come from other artists, who inspire Novaj simply through their own creativity. They love to bring beauty to the abstract and wacky.

Novaj’s advice applies to anyone ready to hear: “Don't let people tell you how to express yourself. Make sure you are doing your art for you and not for the approval of others. Once you are able to love and appreciate your craft, your audience will follow. Do what makes you happy, life is too short to spend it pleasing others.”
