Sarfo Emmanuel Annor | Visual Artist
Sarfo Emmanuel Annor is a 19 year old Visual Artist from Koforidua, in the Eastern part of Ghana. After graduating at Koforidua Technical Institute where he studied visual arts, his sister gifted him an Itel P15 phone. He began using it to take pictures of his family, especially his niece, ultimately believing in the idea that he could seriously use his phone as an art creation tool.
When editing his photography, Sarfo considers the use of saturated, colorful backgrounds as a form of therapy and expression to his audience. He takes his inspiration from creators in his field, with his biggest influence being the Ghanaian Visual Artist: Prince Gyasi. This is not only due to his striking use of vibrant hues, but also for the moving story behind his art.
| ADVICE
Sarfo’s strongest advice would be to: “Stay focused on your dreams, be determined, and work hard. Because hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. No matter what happens, even if you fail in the middle, consider it a stepping stone and continue that race with the same goal.”
